The Pine Tree HS UIL Academics team recently captured the District 16-4A title. Students earned 60 individual medals, 16 first place individual medals, and 10 team first places. In addition, a record-setting 35 students qualified for 52 regional placements. Both the Speech and Debate team and the Journalism team were the overall winners. Pine Tree finished the competition with 734 points compared to the 2nd place school, which had 278 points. The last time Pine Tree HS won the district title was 18 years ago. Go Pirates! Pine Tree ISD will host Family Financial Fun Night on Tuesday, April 1st at Pine Tree Middle School to kick off National Financial Literacy Month. This event is geared specifically toward middle school students and their families and is a key initiative to raise awareness about financial wellness and provide valuable resources to our community. Sponsored by Susan Doty, Executive Director of the UT Tyler Center for Economic Education and Financial Literacy. The high school robotics program took a tour of Gap Distribution Center in Longview. It was exciting to see robotics, automation, and programming on a large scale. We appreciate GAP and Longview Economic Development Corp (LEDCO) for helping us connect the skills our students practice to rewarding and fulfilling career paths!
