Pine Tree Art Department would like to recognize the following students for being the 2025 winners of the Charge into Fire Safety Poster Contest by the Longview Fire Department:

Brooklyn Mitchell and Max Ambern both from Birch Elementary and Bella Byrdsong from Pine Tree High School. These 3 students were recognized and given a medal at the Longview City Council meeting by Mayor Kristen Ishihara and Chief Grimes from the Longview Fire Department.

Students were asked to make a poster that represents fire prevention and/ or fire safety. They were also supposed to consider this year's theme which was “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium- Ion Batteries in Your Home”. All posters were original work made by the students.

Pine Tree ISD won divisions for the Primary Division (Grades 1-2), Intermediate Division (Grades 3-4) and the High School Division (Grades 9,10,11,12).

Pine Tree ISD and the Art Department are extremely proud of these students and their hard work and creativity. 💙💛

We are proud to announce our partnership with STOPit Solutions, a nationally recognized leader in
school safety and wellness.

Through this partnership, everyone in our school community has access to the STOPit anonymous
reporting app – a powerful tool designed to deter and promptly address instances of bullying, school
violence, self-harm, and inappropriate behaviors.

With the STOPit app, users can anonymously submit tips, attach photo or video evidence, and privately
message school leaders with the necessary information to help everyone involved.

In addition, when a student or anyone in our school community needs immediate support, the STOPit
app provides direct access to Crisis Text Line. Users can anonymously text with counselors (day or night)
until they feel safe and calm.

We encourage everyone in our school community to download the STOPit app.

If you haven’t already done so, we kindly urge parents and guardians to download the STOPit app and
become familiar with its features. This will not only enable you to guide your children in using the app
but will also demonstrate our collective commitment to the safety and wellbeing of our whole school
community.

The STOPit app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

We’re proud to recognize the following Pine Tree students for being nominated and accepted to the Longview Museum of Fine Arts Student Board for 2025:

✨ Emmeline Peters, Sophomore
✨ Cara Green, Sophomore
✨ Joslyn Silva, Junior
✨ Mackenzie Finch, Junior

This decision was based on one of the following reasons: academic responsibility, talent in art, and an interest in art related career.

As a member of this group, they will have an opportunity to assist and participate in classes, events, and exhibition openings. As a Student Board Member of the Longview Museum of Fine Arts, they will be playing a vital role in enriching our community through the Arts. Their contribution helps bring beauty, inspiration, and creative expression to our city, making a lasting impact on our world.

💛 Miss Texas Visits Pine Tree Middle School! 💛

Last week, Pine Tree Middle School students had the incredible opportunity to hear from Miss Texas, Sadie Schiermeyer! 👑

She shared her story about overcoming challenges and talked with students about eating healthy foods and managing emotions in positive ways. Her message was all about finding balance, taking care of yourself, and knowing it’s okay to ask for help.

Thank you, Miss Texas, for inspiring our Pirates to be their best inside and out!
