The first 20 students to sign in at their grade level group's table (3rd-5th, 6th-8th, and 9th-12th) are guaranteed to go home with a new book! Doors will be open for entrance between 6:20-6:40! During this one hour Literacy Night, students will go on a "Blind Date with Books" to discover new books without seeing the cover, some of our PT authors will share their works, and then we'll do a "Book Tasting" to preview the pages!

Officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®) have announced the names of more than 34,000 Commended Scholars in the 71st annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Pine Tree High School is proud to recognize Matthew Sprague as one of these outstanding students.
More than 1.3 million juniors entered the competition entered the competition last year. Commended Scholars represent the top 50,000 highest scorers in the nation. With this recognition, Matthew’s PSAT and SAT scores place him among the top 4% of students across the country.

Our Pirates will compete in the Texas High School Welding Series (TXHSWS) a hands-on, industry-driven competition where students showcase real-world welding skills like blueprint reading, precision, technique, and safety. Work is evaluated by industry professionals, giving students valuable feedback while preparing them for careers after graduation.
Coach Davis says it best: “It’s more than a competition—it’s training for life after graduation.”

He is looking for a new host family in the Pine Tree District because he loves his classes and has already made friends.

Part of the PTHS fall cast for Alice in Wonderland were fitted for costumes today. Jabberwocky, the Queen of Hearts, an executioner, a squirrel, a white knight, and many more found their perfect costumes at Rose Costumes in Denton. Come see their show in October for the great reveal!
