It was a full night of celebrations at the Pine Tree Board Meeting on May 8th. Thank you to Pine Tree students in the Aspire Mentoring Program for leading our pledges. Our Above and Beyond recipients were Sam Williams, Ashley Petersen, Jeannie Williams, Clayton Skinner, Alisha Vidaurri and Terri Davis. Our Leadership3 participants were also recognized for their participation and hard work. Coach Angel Rocha, Boys Soccer, was recognized for 100 wins, Coach Lacy Dennis, Girls Volleyball, for 100 wins and Coach Chris Yoder, Girls Soccer, 200 wins. Student recognitions included Texas Math and Science Coaches Association (TMSCA) winners and UIL state qualifiers . #pirateproud #wearewinners #ptcelebrations

The Pine Tree Education Foundation established the annual Beacon Awards and Regen Stiles Teaching Excellence Award for the purpose of recognizing district employees who have made a life changing impression on a student during their time in Pine Tree schools. Current Pine Tree students make nominations in the form of an essay sharing how a teacher or school employee has influenced their life and why they appreciate and admire them. This is an opportunity for students to express themselves in writing, and to say “thank you” to a special person for making a difference in their lives.
