This grant has been established to assist Pine Tree ISD students to cover some of the cost associated with college dual credit courses and to support selected STEAM related curriculum. 

 The grant will be utilized to cover the selected costs of dual credit courses articulated between Pine Tree ISD and selected universities and community colleges, now and for many years to come.  In addition, this grant will actively contribute to STEAM related efforts-Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics. Dual credit courses and STEAM will be financially supplemented to enhance Pine Tree ISD's efforts to increase the students' opportunities to value their high school education, be better prepared for life and to increase their ability to seek a college degree after high school. 

The Education Foundation in association with the Dual Credit and STEAM Grant awarded 143 Student Enrichment Grants to high school students to participate in Dual Credit courses and helped to purchase books and online labs during the 2016-2017 school year. In the initial year of 2015-2016, 63 Student Enrichment Grants were awarded.
