Pine Tree Birch Elementary and Pine Tree Parkway Elementary Named to 2025 Texas Honor Roll

LONGVIEW, TX – Pine Tree ISD proudly announces that Pine Tree Birch Elementary and Pine Tree Parkway Elementary have been named to the 2025 Texas Honor Roll, recognizing them among the state’s top-performing schools.

The annual Honor Roll program, presented by Educational Results Partnership (ERP), recognized 1,076 of Texas’ highest performing schools and 84 school districts this year. This distinction places Pine Tree Birch Elementary and Pine Tree Parkway Elementary among approximately 15 percent of schools statewide earning this honor.

Upon the release of publicly available Texas Education Agency (TEA) STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) data for 2023–2025, ERP conducted a comprehensive analysis to identify schools that consistently outperform their peers. Schools selected for the Honor Roll demonstrate strong student achievement across all populations, sustained academic growth over time, and success in closing achievement gaps among higher-poverty and historically disadvantaged student groups.

This marks the eleventh year ERP has completed the Honor Roll list. The program is part of a national effort to engage business leaders in recognizing high-performing schools and promoting best practices that improve student outcomes.

The 2025 Texas Honor Roll is supported by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence and co-presented in partnership with the Texas Business Leadership Council.

“Texas Business Leadership Council is proud to recognize higher performing schools in our state that are preparing students with the skills needed to be successful in a globally competitive workforce,” said Justin Yancy, President and CEO of the Texas Business Leadership Council.

“Many educators across Texas are already delivering rigorous instruction that equips students with the fundamentals they need to succeed in the workforce and in life,” said ERP’s Board Chair James Lanich, Ph.D. “The Honor Roll recognizes that work—identifying schools in a diversity of ZIP codes where students of all backgrounds are mastering the core academic skills that will help them thrive in a rapidly changing world of work.”

“Across Texas, there are schools and systems delivering strong results for students of all backgrounds,” said Alex Barrios, President & CEO of Educational Results Partnership. “The Honor Roll recognizes these schools because they are doing something essential—preparing students with durable, foundational skills that remain valuable in any economy, particularly as artificial intelligence continues to transform the nature of work.”
