Bobby Evans is an accomplished entrepreneur, business leader, and proud Pine Tree ISD alumnus with more than 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Beginning in his family’s pumping unit service business, Bobby went on to a successful career with Weatherford International, ultimately serving as Global Vice President over multiple artificial lift businesses. In 2012, he founded Liberty Lift Solutions, LLC, which has grown from a startup manufacturing and servicing beam pumping units into a global artificial lift solutions provider serving major U.S. oil basins and international markets. His technical expertise, entrepreneurial leadership, and commitment to developing others have been key to the company’s success. Bobby’s accomplishments extend beyond business. He is respected for his humility, integrity, work ethic, loyalty, and dedication to family and community. A coach, Sunday School teacher, husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he credits his Pine Tree education, coaches, parents, and life experiences for shaping the values and leadership skills that have guided his life. Bobby Evans exemplifies the values of Pine Tree ISD through his professional achievements, character, service, and continued commitment to others, making him an exceptional candidate for the PTISD Distinguished Alumni Award.
Distinguished Alumni Award

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor awarded to a former student of Pine Tree ISD. The award, sponsored by The Pine Tree Education Foundation recognizes former students who have made significant contributions to society and whose accomplishments and careers have brought honor and distinction to Pine Tree ISD.

Bobby Evans, Class of 1980

David Lessenberry, Class of 1987
David Lessenberry, US Navy Senior Chief, Retired, exemplifies the values of Pine Tree ISD through a lifetime of distinguished service, leadership, mentorship, and commitment to others. After graduating from Pine Tree, David dedicated 26 years to the United States Navy, serving around the world in positions of increasing responsibility, including Navy recruiter, navigator, public affairs officer, and Defense Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Paris. His military service strengthened relationships between the United States and France and earned him numerous awards and commendations. Throughout his career, David has consistently invested in others. He mentored young people as a Navy recruiter, volunteered with youth organizations, welcomed international exchange students into his home, and continues to advocate for veterans and military families. After retiring from the Navy, David earned a degree in International Relations and Global Studies from The University of Texas at Austin. He now serves as Assistant Director for Veteran and Military Affiliated Services at UT Austin, where he supports veterans, service members, and their families. His dedication was recognized with the university’s 2024 Outstanding Staff Award. He also serves military-connected families as a licensed real estate broker. David’s lifelong commitment to service, leadership, education, and mentorship reflects the highest ideals of Pine Tree ISD. His accomplishments and continued impact on others make him an outstanding and deserving candidate for the Distinguished Alumni Award.
