Mrs. Sanders, our high school 9th and 10th grade Life Skills teacher, has been selected as our Outstanding Teacher Walkthrough of the Week. She has faced new challenges over the past few days with grace, kindness, and flexibility. She continues to strive for improvement by finding new ways to meet each of her students’ needs. During her walkthrough, she was well-prepared; students responded positively to their morning routines and procedures, and the relationships she has built with them are the driving force behind her success. Mrs. Sanders has created a safe space and a loving yet challenging environment for the students who need us most. We are truly the lucky ones!

During this one hour Literacy Night, students will go on a "Blind Date with Books" to discover new books without seeing the cover, some of our PT authors will share their works, and then we'll do a "Book Tasting" to preview the pages!

This day has become known as OUR DAY TO SHINE. The THSCEF Benevolence fund was established by the Texas High School Coaches Association Board of Directors to assist athletes and coaches experiencing hardships. “Our Day to Shine” has involved over 1,441 schools that have hosted an ODTS Scrimmage. To date, our coaches have raised over $1,000,000 for the THSCEF Benevolence Fund has paid over $820,000 to athletes and coaches experiencing hardships.
Come out, enjoy some great football, and help make a difference!
