Pine Tree High School Leadership hosted a conference for the middle and junior high student councils last week. Students were led through leadership skills and community service projects. The students created Valentine's cards and decorations for Longview Hill Rehabilitation and Nursing. Students visited with residents and decorated the facility for Valentine's Day. Leadership is a high school course for students who want to serve their school and community.

Five PTHS juniors have been chosen for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)! Sponsored by Rotary Club International; these students were chosen based on leadership potential, school involvement, and academic success. They will attend RYLA camp in February to network with area juniors and build on their leadership skills.
The students chosen are, from left to right: Katelynn Sessions, Alexis Klein, Christopher Ramirez, Brandon Hayes, and Stanford O'Quinn.
