school safety and wellness.
Through this partnership, everyone in our school community has access to the STOPit anonymous
reporting app – a powerful tool designed to deter and promptly address instances of bullying, school
violence, self-harm, and inappropriate behaviors.
With the STOPit app, users can anonymously submit tips, attach photo or video evidence, and privately
message school leaders with the necessary information to help everyone involved.
In addition, when a student or anyone in our school community needs immediate support, the STOPit
app provides direct access to Crisis Text Line. Users can anonymously text with counselors (day or night)
until they feel safe and calm.
We encourage everyone in our school community to download the STOPit app.
If you haven’t already done so, we kindly urge parents and guardians to download the STOPit app and
become familiar with its features. This will not only enable you to guide your children in using the app
but will also demonstrate our collective commitment to the safety and wellbeing of our whole school
community.
The STOPit app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Pine Tree Primary, in partnership with the Longview Public Library and Texas Home Visiting, is hosting a Storybook Nature Walk featuring the beloved story Turkey Trouble!
📅 Friday, November 14
⏰ 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
📍 Williams Lake (behind Mobberly Baptist Church)
Families will enjoy a walk around the lake where the story comes to life through interactive reading stations, costumes, and hands-on fun! 🍁✨
We’re inviting families, daycares, preschools, churches, and community groups to join the fun — and we could use a few helping hands (and supplies!) to make the magic happen!
🧺 We’re hoping to borrow the following from Nov. 10–17:
7 outdoor A-frame display signs (24x36)
Adult costumes: Horse, Cow, Pig, Sheep, Rooster
3 Turkey costumes
20 empty pizza boxes 🍕
If you or your organization can help or would like to participate, please comment below or email rwalker@ptisd.org
.
Let’s make this a wonderful community celebration of reading, nature, and togetherness! 💛

Beginning September 1, 2025, a new Texas law (Senate Bill 12) requires parental consent before school nurses may provide health-related services to students and before school counselors may provide routine counseling services to students.
Without your consent, nurses and counselors will only be able to provide assistance in emergencies. This means we will not be able to provide health services such as basic first aid (including bandages and ice packs), or routine counseling services until the consent form is completed.
Please log in to your Skyward Family Access account to complete and submit the consent form. The form must be completed on a computer, not on a mobile device. If you do not have access to a computer, please visit your child’s campus office for assistance with log in.
Thank you for your partnership in supporting student health and well-being.
