My name is Vanessa Sommerfeld and this will be my 12th year at Pine Tree High School and my 1st year as National Honor Society Sponsor! I have taught previously at Gilmer High School, Longview High School, and Kilgore Junior College. I am a graduate of Texas A&M University with a BS in Biochemistry--Gig Em! I earned my Master’s Degree in Human Biological Chemistry and Genetics from University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. I am honored to have been selected as PTHS Teacher of the Year in 14-15. In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, and binge-watching true crime documentaries.
