Hello Pirate family! My name is Jon Carter and I’m the Pine Tree District Robotics Coordinator. I’m returning to Pine Tree from a 4-year stint at Gladewater Middle School where I taught Special Ed. Math. Prior to that, I taught Social Studies and Robotics at PTMS for 8 years. This will be my 15th rewarding year in education. I started late because I’m also a proud Navy veteran. My wife Wendy and I are empty nesters now, but we’ve raised 4 beautiful daughters. My oldest, Summer has recently finished culinary school, Ashly graduated Valedictorian in 2020, and is starting her Senior year at UT Austin. She will be attending Law School next fall. My youngest, Holly, graduated in the top 10 and is starting her Junior year at UT Tyler where she is studying Speech Pathology. All are Pine Tree graduates. Pine Tree is our home!
