Pine Tree High School students earned top honors at the SkillsUSA District 5 Competition, held February 26–28 at the Texas State Technical College campus in Waco. Competing against schools from across the East Texas, PTHS students secured multiple medals and state-qualifying placements in Audio/Video Production, Automotive Technology, Graphic Design, and Construction.

SkillsUSA is a national career and technical student organization that prepares students for high-demand careers in the skilled trades, technical fields, and service industries. Through competitive events aligned to industry standards, students demonstrate technical expertise, leadership, teamwork, and professionalism.
