Pine Tree High School Students Earn Top Honors at Regional VASE Competition
Longview, Texas – Pine Tree High School students showcased their exceptional artistic talent at the Regional Visual Arts Scholastic (VASE) Competition, earning an impressive 55 regional gold medals and advancing several students to the state competition this April.
Pine Tree High School seniors Kiley Salser and Audrey Jenkins, junior Allison Aparicio, and freshmen Saray Hernandez and Ava Velasquez earned Area Medals and will advance to the state competition of the Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) in April.
Overall, Pine Tree students earned an impressive 55 regional gold medals, with 13 students receiving double regional medals. In addition to presenting their artwork, participants completed an in-depth juror interview, where they articulated and defended their artistic processes and creative decisions.
