Hi, I'm Dr. Ruthie Walker, and I have been immersed in the world of public education for a remarkable 21 years. Currently, I am in my eighth year at Pine Tree Primary, 4th year as the principal, where I find tremendous joy in shaping young minds. I am deeply committed to collaborative practices that enhance students' educational development and foster character growth. Additionally, I firmly believe in the importance of family engagement and work diligently to create inclusive school communities where families feel valued and involved in their child's education. Beyond my professional life, I am happily married for two decades to my amazing partner, Dr. Will Walker who teaches and coaches for Pine Tree. Together, we have been raising our two incredible children. Levi, our eldest, is currently an eighth grader at Pine Tree Junior High, while Clara, our youngest, is thriving as a fifth grader at Pine Tree Middle School. As a family, we love living, learning, and working in the Pine Tree Community.
