
Students used value to create their "Shady Pumpkins" using Prismacolor pencils, Micron pens and markers. The Art One students were required to use different shading techniques, such as hatching, cross hatching, stippling, and colored pencil blending.

Ms. Mojarro's ' 8th grade ELAR classes visited the library for Hispanic Heritage Month. They enjoyed refreshments such as chips and salsa and tasted authentic Mexican chocolate and soda while watching "The Queen of Tejano Music," Selena Quintanilla.

Join us on October 10th for an evening featuring performances by our PTJH band and color guards, along with the Pine Tree High School band and color guard.

Students wrapped up the week in the Pine Tree Junior High Library with an exciting scavenger hunt! They explored shelves, discovered new resources, learned to locate materials by genre, and even practiced finding a book’s copyright date—all while sharpening their library skills and having a blast!

Adding a personal touch, Ms. Williams, 8th grade ELAR teacher, shared her experience visiting New York City this summer, giving students a firsthand connection to the places discussed. This collaboration brought history to life while reinforcing critical thinking and literacy skills.
