Coach Smith is grateful for a return to Pine Tree High School. Coach will be working on the Excel campus and will be involved with athletics. A long time basketball coach at some of the top programs in Louisiana and Texas, Smith has been at Neville and West Ouachita in Louisiana. Malakoff, Austin Westwood, Austin Westlake and Longview in Texas. Because of some fantastic assistant coaches and student-athletes, Smith has been able to win 585 varsity wins, with a 72% winning percentage. Also, coach has made the playoffs 27 out of 31 years as a head coach, 5 Regional tournaments and a state final appearance. Smith looks forward to working on the Pirate staff.
