Welcome to Pine Tree Middle School! Go Pirates!

My name is Mickey White.  I am starting my 6th year here in Pine Tree as the principal of PTMS.  Prior to coming to Pine Tree, I worked as an administrator in Corsicana and an instructional coach in Dallas.  I began my teaching career in Bossier City, LA. as a high school math and social studies teacher.  While in Louisiana I also coached our varsity soccer team and our high school Mock Trial team.  I met my wife, Stacie, while teaching in Louisiana.  After we got married, we moved to Texas where I taught social studies at a charter school in Garland and in Allen.  I have 5 wonderful children spread across 3 campuses in PTISD.  I am proud to serve each day at the best school in Texas!!

Coach Morris is going into his 5th year as an Assistant Principal at Pine Tree Middle School. Prior to becoming an AP, he was a high school football coach in multiple East Texas school districts. Coach Morris recently married the love of his life. Together, he and Teesha Morris have 7 kids and the family is marvelously blended together. Spending time with the family, cooking out, playing yard games, watching football and spending time in the pool are some of the things Coach loves doing in his spare time.

I am a proud K-12 Pine Tree graduate.  My undergraduate degree is from Baylor University and my graduate degree is from Texas A&M University.  I have two daughters in the district who are 4th generation Pirates.

This year begins my 16th year in education. I started my teaching career in Cypress-Fairbanks in Houston where I taught for my first 7 years.  I then moved to Pine Tree where I have taught and served as the Campus Instructional Coach for the Primary for the past 7 years.  I am excited to now be serving the middle school as an Assistant Principal.
