At the PTISD February 12th board meeting, our Middle School students led the pledges. Laura Payne was recognized with an Above and Beyond award. Jackie Brown, a volunteer at Parkway Elementary, was presented the Most Valuable Pirate (MVP) award. The district recognized Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers and students during Career and Technical Education Month. Today upperclassmen in the automotive program attended the North Texas Automobile Dealers Association Career Fair at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. Students met representatives from the automotive industry and got an up close look at the latest vehicles on the market.

We had a group of junior high CTE students tour Komatsu yesterday! These pirates enjoyed touring the manufacturing facility and learning more about the industry.






8th graders in Ms. Cook's science classes completed career interest surveys today and started researching careers that interest them. This is in preparation for 9th grade class registration that will take place in late January! #ThisisPineTreeCTE




We had several Engineering, Automotive, Construction, and Welding upperclassmen hear from Robert Ham with CAM Industrial Solutions on Monday about career opportunities with their company. CAM is located at several industrial worksites across North America, including locally at Eastman Chemical in Longview.

Senior Construction and Welding student Abraham Perales is working after hours today on his construction project that he will take to the SkillsUSA competition this spring. We're anticipating a great competitive season for our Pirate CTE competition teams #ThisisPineTreeCTE



Culinary and automotive students are hard at work today! Culinary 1 students are catering the Pine Tree UIL Invitational Meet and automotive students are working on their SkillsUSA projects in the automotive lab.
