Endowments provide a perpetual source of funding necessary to maintain a culture of excellence. Pine Tree Education Foundation is challenging the Pine Tree Alumni and Pine Tree community to establish long-term investments through endowments as a way to provide for those long-term benefits that we as a community want for our Pine Tree students and teachers.
  • An endowed gift, or an endowment, is a substantial donation invested in an interest-baring bank account.
The principle investment from an endowment is never spent. Interest earnings from the endowment are used to provide a secure source of program funding. Because of sound fiscal practices, an endowment will perpetually support education, leaving a legacy in Pine Tree ISD for years to come. In addition to cash, donations may also include board approved property, IRAs, or other assets to fund the endowment.

Donors agree to donate a total of at least $5,000, either all at once or with annual contributions of at least $500 per year for a period of 5 years. Endowments may be renewed and may also be designated for a specific established program.
  • Pine Tree Education Foundation can help write a donor agreement that reflects your values and passion for education. Need help or have questions about how you can change students' lives with a donation to Pine Tree Education Foundation? Please contact our offices at 903-295-5021.
  • Pine Tree Education Foundation board members have established 6 Levels of Endowment Giving. Donors will be permanently recognized as individual names/contributors will be inscribed on the leaves of a GIVING TREE located in the entry of the Pirate Center:  a Multi-purpose Gymnasium on the Pine Tree High School campus.

    Recognized Levels of Giving are:
    CHALLENGER: $5,000 - $9,999
    BUCCANEER: $10,000 - $24,999
    PIRATE LEGACY: $25,000 - $49,999
    PIRATE CAPTAIN: $50,000 - $74,999
    PIRATE KING: $75,000 - $99,999
PIRATE CIRCLE OF HONOR: $100,000 and above
  • Endowments reflect the values and passions of the giver. If you desire to create a legacy for education in Pine Tree ISD, consider creating an endowment. Your gift will change the lives of young people, both today and in the future.
Memorials: Memorial Endowments provide remembrance of a loved one or friend and are a permanent way to recognize the person’s life. Your gift not only pays tribute to the deceased but also establishes a gift to the continued educational excellence of the Pine Tree ISD through the established programs of the Foundation.

Honorariums: Honorarium Endowments pay tribute to the living. What better way to honor and say “thank you” to a colleague, friend, community leader, or family member than by establishing an Honorarium Endowment to recognize that person’s contributions to the community or district. As with a memorial, this gift not only recognizes the honoree but also establishes a gift to the continued educational excellence of the Pine Tree ISD through the established programs of the Foundation.

For both Memorial and Honorarium endowments, the family or honoree will receive a gift acknowledgement that recognizes the donor without divulging the amount of the gift. As a donor, the Foundation will send you a receipt for your records.
