  • Welcome to Pine Tree Middle School! Go Pirates!

I started my teaching career at Airline High School in Bossier City, LA.  I was there for 5 years as a math and social studies teacher, soccer coach and mock trial coach.  I met my wife, Stacie, while there. I am now married to my wonderful wife Stacie. We have 3 children and 1 little chihuahua. In the fall of 2006 we moved to the Dallas area where I taught social studies at the Harmony Science Academy before moving on to Allen ISD.  After Allen, I had a brief stint as an instructional supervisor for Dallas ISD.  I then served 2 years as assistant principal of Griffin Middle School in The Colony and 1 year as assistant principal of Collins Intermediate in Corsicana.  In the fall of 2015 I was named the prinicipal of Drane Intermediate in Corsicana.  I am now thrilled to be a Pine Tree Pirate.

  • Welcome to Pine Tree Middle School.

I am from Houston and spent 25 years living in Oklahoma City before moving to Longview to be close to family in 2008. My wife Cindy and I have been married since 1988. We enjoy traveling, doing projects around the house and spending time with family and friends.

My time with Pine Tree ISD began 2011 and I am excited be serving at the Middle School Campus. My Wife and I graduated from Mid-America Christian University and I finished my Masters of Education May 2017 from SFA. My time in education began in 1994, covering many varied teaching and coaching assignments in Oklahoma and East Texas.

School is a tremendous opportunity and responsibility to help our students grow in their lives, not just their schoolwork. I am thankful and look forward to the chance to help students grow and become stronger.

  • I am so excited to be joining the team of educators at Pine Tree Middle School. I am beginning my 25th year in education.  I taught for 17 years before leaving the classroom and then took the leap of faith in an administrative role.  I began my career teaching Spanish and English at Ore City High School where I graduated Salutatorian.  I, then, transferred to Sabine Middle School as an 8th grade English teacher.  From there, I finished strong in the classroom at Hallsville Jr. High, teaching Spanish, English and Speech.  I spent 8 years in an administrative role at New Diana ISD, first as an instructional facilitator at the Intermediate School, and then moving to the High School and Middle School as Assistant Principal. Through all these venues, I have had the privilege of gaining knowledge in various experiences.

I knew from my 6th grade year in school that I wanted to be a teacher.  I never deviated from the plan, nor questioned my intents.  My work experience has been one I would rather think of as not work.  I go to a place daily where I have fun and do my best to impact lives in whatever way I can.  For this, I am truly blessed.

The Pine Tree family champions the relentless pursuit of excellence through a compassionate and safe learning environment empowering all students to develop their unique passions and to make a positive impact in a global society.
