Human Resources - Substitutes at Pine Tree ISD

Thank you for considering a position as a substitute teacher in Pine Tree ISD. Our mission is to address the individual learning needs of each student who enters our schools. Pine Tree ISD, the Board of Trustees and professional staff consider substitute teaching an important phase of our total school program. Substitute teachers are welcomed as members of our professional family and will be treated with consideration, courtesy, and respect by all school personnel, parents and pupils.

Upon completion of the Substitute Orientation, approved substitutes shall have on file with the District:
* A completed online application
* A record of highest education attained, including high school diploma, GED
   certificate, or transcript for all college work, and/or teacher certificate
* A completed I-9 form
* Two forms of identification (valid social security card and valid driver's license)
* Completed Substitute New Hire Forms

Substitute  Salary:  Substitute pay will be reviewed annually and determined by the Board of Trustees during the budget process.

Long Term Subs:
Degreed and certified substitute teachers working in any one position for more than 10 consecutive days will be compensated at $80 per day. 
All required documents regarding salary, i.e., transcripts, certifications, etc. must be received by the Human Resources Department to secure accurate pay is received.   All applicants need to complete a classified application.
