TAKS Study Guides The Texas Education Agency has developed TAKS Study Guides to help students strengthen the TEKS-based skills that are taught in class and tested on TAKS. The Guides are designed for students to use on their own or for students and families to work through together. Concepts are presented in a variety of ways that will help students review the information and skills they need to be successful on the TAKS.

TEA: Academic Excellence Indicator System
- The Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) pulls together a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas every year. This information is put into the annual AEIS reports, which are available each year in November.

TEA: Student Assessment Division - State-wide Performance Results - Two key responsibilities of the Texas Education Agency are assessing public school students on what they have learned and determining district and school accountability ratings. TEA provides an array of reports based on the results of student testing and other assessments. Another key function of the agency involves testing and certifying educators to make sure they are prepared to deliver high quality education to the state’s schoolchildren.
