History of Alumni Organizations
The Pine Tree Alumni Association (PTAA) was established in 1991 and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The purpose of the PTAA was to maintain an organization of alumni, faculty, and friends of the Pine Tree Independent School District and support the school through creation of a scholarship fund and of other means to promote fellowship. The primary focus has been the granting of substantial scholarships for the continuance of higher education. These scholarships are intended to recognize deserving students who represent Pine Tree High School in a positive manner and who have contributed to their school and community.
In April 2010, the PTAA voted to merge with the Pine Tree ISD Foundation. Presently, the Foundation does not charge dues and considers all Pine Tree Alumni as members of our Alumni Community. However, to continue the Alumni Scholarship and Alumni Homecoming Events, contributions are needed and appreciated. Please consider making a contribution today! Contributions are tax-deductible.
