Cultural Enrichment
Cultural activities bring a special spice to the city’s lifestyle. Longview can boast of a wide variety of opportunities for families to enjoy and participate in the arts. Performing arts organizations in the city include the S.E. Belcher Jr. Chapel and Performance Center,   Longview Symphony Orchestra,  Longview Ballet Theatre, and Opera East Texas, all with annual production schedules. Longview is also home to the East Texas Symphonic Band and ArtsView Children’s Theatre. The city is fortunate to offer two museums in the downtown area: the Longview Museum of Fine Arts, a world-class museum of fine art and the Gregg County Historical Museum.
