The Adopt A School Partnership of Longview is a collaborative effort with Longview's three public school districts and the business and faith communities to increase community involvement in the schools and provide enrichment and support of the educational environment.

The Adopt A School Partnership of Longview Steering Council is a group of approximately 25 representatives of schools, businesses, churches and community organizations. They meet regularly with ASPL staff to determine the goals and objectives of the program, to set policies for the program's operation and to evaluate the effectiveness of the program. The Council is led by two co-chairmen, one from the business community and one from the faith community, selected yearly.
