Pine Tree ISD is:
Grateful for a dedicated and award winning staff who are committed to providing excellence for all students.
Teachers of the Year for the 2010-11 school year were honored by the PTISD School Board as those who make a significant difference in the lives of their students through creative and effective classroom strategies.
Mandy Rogers represented Pine Tree as Elementary Teacher of the Year and Sherron Van Camp represented Pine Tree as Secondary Teacher of the Year. Those teachers receiving honors include:

Proud of the hard work and dedication of the 2010-11 PTHS seniors who qualified for $2,256,560 dollars in offers of scholarships.
- 112 out of 282 graduating seniors qualified as GLOBE/Texas Scholars which distinguished them as those who graduated under the Recommended Plan and Distinguished Achievement.
- Pine Tree graduates will be represented in major colleges from the east coast to the west coast. 4 members of this class will serve their country in different branches of the US military.
- Several graduates have committed to studies abroad while many others will attend major universities across the great state of Texas.
- Many of the members will continue their education here in the East Texas Region taking advantage of the many outstanding colleges in East Texas
Distinguished by all Pine Tree ISD campuses meeting Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) of the No Child Left Behind Act, according to ratings released annually in August. Measures for each campus in the state are posted on the Texas Education Agency Web site. Districts, campuses, and the state are required to meet AYP criteria on three measures: Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, and either Graduation Rate (for high schools and districts) or Attendance Rate (for elementary and middle/junior high schools).
